Become a NH Selects Coach

NH Selects is always looking for passionate, player-first coaches who believe in elite development. If you’re interested in being part of our staff, start here — then work through the USA Hockey certification steps below.

USA Hockey and the Coaching Education Program require both certification and registration to be eligible to coach. Registration is done online on a yearly basis. The following steps must be completed before participating in any team activities.

  Register as a USA Hockey Member

  Cost is $46 plus any affiliate fees if applicable. Register here →

  Complete the Background Screening

  Required for all coaches before being added to a roster.

  Complete USA Hockey Safe Sport Training

  Required every year — you cannot be added to a roster until this is completed. Complete through the USA Hockey Learning Center.

  Complete the Foundations of Player Development Pre-Requisite

  Complete the Foundations module before purchasing your age-specific module. Once complete, there is a 15-minute window before you can proceed.

  Complete the Age-Specific Online Module

  Cost is $20 per module — only completed once per age level. Must be completed prior to participating in any team activities.

In addition to the online requirements above, coaches must attend a Coaching Education Program certification clinic. This must be completed by December 31 each season.

The USA Hockey Learning Center is the hub for online certification modules, Safe Sport training, and continuing education. All coaches must create a profile and access modules through this platform.
