New England District Festival Tryouts & Camps
Festival Tryouts & Camps
The USA Hockey player development pathway starts with a tryout right here in New Hampshire. Here is how it works and where to register.
Each summer USA Hockey runs National Player Development Camps for boys and girls ages 14, 15, 16, and 17. Nearly 1,300 players from USA Hockey’s 11 districts attend, training on and off the ice with USA Hockey coaches.
Players earn a spot through evaluations at the state and district level. For New Hampshire players, that process is run by the New Hampshire Amateur Hockey Association (NHAHA) and the New England District (NED).

- Tryout fee: $100 if you register more than 5 days before the tryout, $150 after that. Fees are paid in full at the registration table before going on the ice.
- Check-in: players check in on their own at the rink, without parents, and receive a jersey and socks to keep.
- Bring a water bottle.
- Camp dates, locations, and fees are announced by the district after tryouts. Selected players are contacted with how and when to sign up.
- This is separate from NH Selects. Registration, fees, and selection are handled by NHAHA and the district, not by our program.
